Tis the season

Hello friends. I’ve been trying to use up some of my stash today, starting with a gel plate print I pulled last week using Sam’s Christmas BOW-WOB papers.

I was actually making it for one of my live demos last week (check that one out here), but forgot to put a square of stencil card in the centre to create an aperture before I pulled the print and wound up with a full surface one. I decided instead to chop it into four smaller squares to make a little set of cards.

Having done that, I added the little peeping penguin from the Cute Christmas personalised stamp set and then extended the line across the card with a ruler and a micron pen.

I then added one of the I Am Essential – Christmas sentiments, again with black Archival ink and ran a black Sharpie around the edges of the topper. I fished into my Waimea Falls companion papers folder to find co-ordinating colours for the mounts. I used a square embedder to emboss a frame onto the front of a 5×5 card blank and popped the topper into it.

So satisfying to get this gel print used up without it sitting in my stash for the next however number of months!

I’m sharing this little set with a couple of current challenges. First, as a second offering for the ‘winter’ theme at The Four Seasons and then also with Word Power given the focal sentiment.
