Hello everyone. Another late post from me (it’s getting to be a bit of a habit!), but it’s been a busy day again and I hadn’t drafted this one up ahead of time. This is another of the designs I was demoing at Clarity’s Open Days last month and I realised I hadn’t shared it with you, so time to put that right. It’s a very simple monochrome card using the Woodland Scene stamp set and one of the landscape masks.

I didn’t do step by step photos for this, as It’s very straightforward. I cut a piece of card to fit a 6×6 blank and first stamped the tree trunks and the large moon from the set in ‘shadow grey’ Archival ink. I took one of the landscape masks, laid it in place and sponged more of the grey ink across it before moving it down the card to create a second piece of land. I added the bunnies (or hares?) sitting in the field checking out what’s around, plus the eagle in the sky and the sentiment across the bottom. After dragging a little more of the grey across a torn piece of copy paper to ground the trees, I used a square embedder to emboss an inner frame on the topper and simply attached it to the 6×6 card blank.

I told you it was simple! I do like the soft effect of the grey on white, but I reckon it could look good in other colours too – maybe blue? Anyway, I’m off to share this grey one with the challenges at CAS on Friday for their Christmas theme and The Four Seasons who are now celebrating ‘winter’.

This is so beautiful with the monochrome color and I never would’ve thought to do this for winter, but now it seems perfect to have in greys! Lovely scene!
