wintery wonderland

Hello everyone. Just popping in with another quick card having got home this evening after after a brilliant weekend demonstrating at Clarity’s Open Days, followed by a workshop with Barbara Gray today. This design with the Winter Wonderland set proved very popular with people, so I’ve now got quite a few samples of it (which has made a nice contribution to this year’s Christmas card stash!)

This design just uses one of the stamps from the set and I simply inked it up with ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxide. I smoothed out the ink on the stamp with a sponge, then lightly added a little ‘black soot’ around the top edge (also with a sponge). It went straight onto a topper that I’d trimmed down to fit on an A6 card blank.

I covered the A6 card blank with a piece of navy Companion Paper, attached the topper to it and added the sentiment in black Archival ink. Having then let all the ink dry thoroughly, I outlined the trees and skyline with a Quickie glue pen and added Perga glitter to the scene for a sparkly night.

Here’s a closer look at the lovely sparkle from the glitter.

This stamp fits into the aperture background in the set, but works equally well on its own. I’m going to share it with a couple of challenges – Just Us Girls are looking for winter cards and 52 Christmas Card Throwdown want winter scenes.
