Twas the night parchment

Hello crafty friends. I’ve had a another play with one of the fabulous printed parchment squares featuring Clarity’s Twas the Night designs for today’s card. These are so easy to use and solve a major problem for me, as I’ve always loved the look of parchment but struggle to stamp on it without smudging the images.

Clarity’s designer parchment is colour flooded on the reverse, so it’s then easy to remove areas of it with an ink rubber, which is what I did on the bauble. That then allows you reintroduce colour with pens or pencils, allowing me to add detail back onto the bauble with my Pergaliner pencils.

I added a frame that I’d die cut with one of the film strip doodle frame-it panel dies and a nested square die, using Perga glue to attach it onto the front of the parchment. I then simply glued the topper onto a 6×6 card blank.

You can get such great effects with the designer parchment without needing any specialist kit (I’m not a parchment crafter). I’m popping this card into a few challenges – I based the layout on the sketch at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown (which I flipped to the other side), I’m hoping the designer parchment counts for Love Those Pretty Papers and finally it’s another Christmas offering for Peace on Earth.
