Hello friends. I’ve got another fairly quick card to share with you today – we had a fab family lunch out, so not a lot of time for crafting! Today’s offering uses the Madonna window aperture die (half price until midnight tomorrow in Clarity’s Big Autumn Sale) – this is one of my favourite Christmas images.

It also works beautifully for the Christmas theme at Inspire Create and for Peace on Earth‘s usual ‘anything goes’ challenge.

I had a piece of stencil card in my stash that I’d used to clean blue inks off my brayer, so started by cutting the die into it. As it’s an aperture die, I then used the smallest of the nested windows dies to cut the central image out. Laying it on a piece of scrap paper, I pressed all over it with Versamark clear ink and then heat embossed with with WOW’s clear sparkle powder.

I’d already added a black layer to the front of a 5×5 card blank, so simply glued the die cut onto it. I finished with one of the Birthday & Christmas stickers, which I mounted on a piece of white card to reflect the main card, adding a little scrap card behind it on the right so it sat level across the die cut.

This is another design that lends itself well to batch making (it’s on tomorrow’s list!). Here’s a close up of that lovely sparkle to finish.
