quick Christmas cards

Hello friends. I hope you’re having a good weekend. I said the other day that I’m ramping up my Christmas card production and I’m back with a couple of quick cards that are perfect for batch making using a couple of the printed Pocket Poppets toppers from Clarity. I’ve used the pre-coloured ones on these cards, but you also get a sheet of each image that’s blank for you to colour yourself.

as ever, I’ve pulled a few challenges together with these cards, starting with the ‘quick card’ theme at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. Helpfully, Cardz4Galz are looking for designs for little girls (and these images are perfect!), plus The Holly & Ivy have their usual ‘anything goes’ theme.

My first step was to cut each of the printed sheets into individual pieces (there are six images on each of the sheets). I started with ‘Mel’ from the Festive Pixies set and used the Dots die from the nested square doodle aperture frame-it set to cut the dots as a frame for the image. I then simply added a mount of pale blue card, attached it to a 5×5 card blank and finished with one of the sentiments from the Occasions – Merry Christmas set.

For the second card, I took ‘Molly’ from the Playful Sprites set and cut her down using a plain nested square die. I cut her mount from green card using the Lattice doodle frame-it panel die, attached her to it and added the topper to another 5×5 card blank. The final touch was to add one of the I Am Essential – Christmas stamps.

So, with six images on each A4 sheet, I very soon had 12 Christmas cards made. And don’t forget that Clarity’s Big Autumn Sale is sill underway until midnight tomorrow – all the products I’ve used are on great discounts!
