hope with flowers

Hello crafty friends and welcome to another look at Tina’s Flowers Sampler stamps from Clarity Crafts – this time I’ve paired one of the stamps with the equivalent larger image from the Brighten Your Day set. In fact all of the images in the sampler set are based on the larger A6 sets in Clarity’s KISS range, so great opportunities for combining them together.

So, here’s the process. I first stamped the square image from the sampler set onto a 4 inch square of stencil card, then cut a mask for it from Clarity’s blank material. I could then add the floral spray from Brighten Your Day to sit behind it.

Keeping the mask in place, I lightly brushed ‘salvaged patina’ Distress Oxide across the clouds mask to create the sky, adding a little ‘mowed lawn’ across torn copy paper for the ground.

I shaded the blooms and the butterfly with Pergaliner pencils and doodled a line across the base of the image to extend the square to each side with a micron pen. I cut a mount of Rainbow River companion paper, edged it and the topper with a black Sharpie and attached the whole piece to a 6×6 card blank.

I always like pairing up new products with my existing stash – it really extends the mileage on everything that’s sat on my shelves!
