Clean and Simple at Sparkles Challenge

Hello there. We’ve got a new challenge starting today at Sparkles and it’s right in my happy place – clean & simple! I needed to replenish my stash of new baby cards, so went with the ‘baby’ theme over at CAS on Friday and the lovely blue tones at Creative Colour with Clarity’s Adorable Baby stamp set (which is currently on sale in their clearance section!)

I found a piece of card for the background in my stash – I’d made it using inks on a gel plate, laying a piece of the BOW-WOB paper on it to create the pattern, then pulling the print after removing the paper. I part stamped the little line of washing from the stamps, coloured the romper suit with blue Pergaliner pencils and fussy cut it.

It was then a simple matter to mount the background square on a piece of pale blue companion paper, attached it to a 5×5 card blank and added the romper suit which I’d layered up with a little scrap card on the back. I finished with one of the Occasions Sentiments.

And while I was at it, I made a couple more in different colourways.

So, do come and join us at Sparkles Challenge and share your CAS cards – embrace the white space!
