more landscapes!

Hello friends. Well, having broken open the packaging for the new landscapes backdrop prints with Monday’s card and the little tag topper, I’ve stepped it up today by using one of the larger 7×7 prints and both the Build a Landscape stamp sets!

Now, before you start thinking these cards must be absolutely enormous, I only used one of the 7×7 prints, cutting off the borders and then chopping it into four to make my toppers. I spent a happy while with both stamp sets out, just picking out stamps and adding them to the toppers – trying not to over think it! Once done, I grabbed my micron pen and doodled a few more details into each scene.

There are lots of lovely pastel tones in the various companion papers and I had a fun time choosing a different shade for each topper. I pulled out four 6×6 card blanks, used a square embedder on the front of each one to emboss a frame and then simply attached a topper to each card. I used a white Posca pen to dot the fleeces onto the sheep, but left them all without sentiments, apart from the wedding/engagement one to which I added one of the anniversary/wedding Rub Ons. I’ll decide on the rest when I come to use them…

The first two cards from this quartet are off to join the galleries for a couple of challenges. The wedding one picks up the top row of love, free (I opted for CAS) and square from the grid at TicTacToe and the trees work for the botanicals theme at CAS on Friday
