Hello friends! Well, it may be seriously hot outside, but I’m sticking to my ambition of making one Christmas card each week through the year, so here’s my latest offering using Clarity’s Bijou 12 Days of Christmas stamp set.

Once again, I’ve managed to combine a few challenges to produce this card, starting with the ‘numbers’ theme at Just Us Girls. I took the ‘gold & blue’ theme from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, the sketch from TGIF Challenges and finally ‘anything Christmas goes’ from Peace on Earth.

I haven’t done any heat embossing for a while now, so started by stamping the 2 & 5 from the 12 Days of Christmas in clear ink onto a diecut circle of navy card and embossed them with WOW’s gold metallic powder. I added a mount of white card cut with one of Clarity’s nested circle picot cut dies the added highlights to the embossed images with a white Pergamano pencil.

It was then a simple matter to layer up the pieces on my card, starting with a navy background on an A6 blank and running a strip of gold card across it. I stamped & embossed the sentiment from the Bijou Postcard Framer set and attached my circle topper to the card front, gluing a couple of strips of scrap card onto the back so it sat level across the gold strip.

It feels so strange to be sharing a Christmas card in the middle of a heatwave, but I’m nearly halfway through the year so not planning to stop now!

cool looking card. I wonder if it would work for a wedding one. 5 golden rings seems perfect for a wedding.

Your card is simply stunning Deborah. The gold embossing against the dark blue card makes it look so designer and high end – it’s beautiful. And now I need to buy this stamp set! Thank you for joining us at 52CCT this week. Gill, DT
