Hello friends and welcome to a dip back into the Clarity archives with Tina’s retro stars stamp set – having looked back in this little blog, I last used these stamps at the beginning of last year! Although I think that probably says more about the quantity of my stash than a commentary on this set!

This is a another one-layer card, this time using the panel of stars from the set. I went straight in to create the frame by stamping the star panel four times around the edge of a 7×7 card blank, using ‘tumbled glass’ Distress Ink. The trick with this is to line the stamp up with the corner, running along the edge. There is then enough room left at the next corner to fit it in and stamp along the next edge, continuing round all four sides.

I created the inner frame by embossing a small nested square embedder, then stamped ‘happy birthday’ from the ‘bijou ribbon sentiment‘ set using ‘bluebird’ Archival ink. I finished with a few gold stars, that came from the ‘holly square aperture framer‘ die when I was making Christmas cards last year (I’ve saved them all in a little pot for future use!)

Because these stars have been hiding their light, I’m going to sharetheir reappearance with the challenges at Neglected Stuff and Word Power
