brilliant leaf

Hello crafty friends. I’ve got another sample to share with you using Clarity’s Elementree leafy stamps, which picks up Ina’s card at Just Us Girls – although my interpretation is a bit more stripped back.

So, I started by masking off the edges of a 5×5 card blank. I spread ‘dried marigold’ Distress Oxide onto one of Clarity’s 4×4 mega mounts, spritzed it well with water and planted it into the centre of the card.

Once the background was dry, I sponged ‘carved pumpkin’ and ‘ripe persimmon’ Distress Oxide onto one of the leaf stamps and added it to the middle of the card. I then put some ‘peacock feathers’ Distress Oxide onto my mega mount, picked it up with a water brush and tapped it to scatter the colour over the card.

Once the card front was fully dry, I used a square embedder to create a frame around the image. The final touches were a couple of the sentiments from the Quotes set 8, which I stamped in Versafine Clair black ink.

We had such a great time at the Clarity Open Days this weekend – it was such a privilege to get to sit and play with these stamps for two whole days! And the tickets are already available for the November event, when we get to do it all again!
