D for Dog at Alphabet Challenge

Hello everyone! I’m busy at Clarity’s Open Day crafting event down in Kent today, but here’s our new theme at Alphabet Challenge – Caz has gone with D for Dogs

It struck me as a great opportunity to put one of Clarity’s landscape toppers & tags into action for a simple scene based on the sketch at Sunday Stamps

I took one of the toppers and first cut an area out of it to reflect the sketch using a small square nested die. It was then an easy matter to stamp one of the miniature dogs onto the die cut piece, together with a tree from the new build a landscape stamp set.

I trimmed the topper down to a square, edged it with a black Sharpie and attached it to a 6×6 card blank. I cut a mount of white card for the die cut piece which I also edged with a Sharpie, layered the die cut onto it and added it to the card front (I popped a scrap piece of card onto the back so it sat level across the aperture in the topper). The final touch was one of the Woodblock stickers – my sister’s labrador is always happy to be out for a walk and heading to make use of a tree!

Thanks for dropping in. Alphabet Challenge runs for the next 2 weeks, until Thursday 12 June – we’d love to see your pooches in our gallery.
