Hello everyone! Back to work stuff today after the bank holiday yesterday, which always leaves me confused about what day of the week it is, but I’m assured it’s definitely Tuesday! That means it’s also the last day of Clarity’s ‘spring clean’ die sale, with a selected number of their Fresh Cut Dies on offer at just £3 each until midnight tonight! That gives me a good excuse to shine the spotlight on the periwinkle & friends floral die, which I haven’t used for some time.
I found an offcut of Amazonia designer paper with lovely colours, so cut the die into it – as these are aperture dies, I also used a nested circle die to cut it into the topper. I cut a piece of white card with the same nested circle die, used my clouds mask and ‘broken china’ Distress Oxide to create a sky effect on it and attached the floral die cut over it (you can just make out the clouds behind the flowers if you squint!)
I wanted to do something a little different, so cut half the front off a 6×6 card blank to just leave the bottom part, then ran another leftover strip from the same Amazonia designer paper across the top of the remaining flap.
Next was to decorate the inside of the card that would be visible behind my topper. I went back in with the clouds mask, brushing more of the ‘broken china’ ink across it for a pretty spring sky.
I then simply glued the floral die topper onto the card front (top tip – be careful where you put your adhesive, so it only goes on the bottom half of the topper…!), which then sits over the cloudy background a bit like a stable door! The final touch was a suitable KISS word sticker that I’d run round with a black Sharpie

Just Us Girls have got their die week with a twist of using a flower, and flowers also feature for Cardz4Galz. Meanwhile, Make My Monday‘s theme is fun folds, which I think I’ve managed with my card front! Finally, the top line of TicTacToe‘s grid brings them all together with die cut, fun fold and flowers.
