love and laughter

Hello everyone – I hope you’re having a good weekend. It’s the May Day bank holiday tomorrow and, despite this last week’s lovely weather, we’ve got showers forecast which is typical for a UK bank holiday! I’ve stuck with the sunshine on this card, though, using the new viaduct collage landscape die from Clarity and their dancescape 1 aperture die – I love the joy in these dancing children!

I cut a piece of stencil card to 5″ square and found some offcuts of Clarity’s infusions collage papers – I cut the sky section and the children from pieces of the hibiscus set and centre of the landscape from from chamomile. The great thing about the landscape die is that you can cut individual sections from different papers and know that they’ll still all fit together perfectly. Having done that, I glued the landsccape sections onto the stencil card (the die is 6×6 so they overlapped the edges).

I glued the children die cut into place and then cut the edges of the topper straight with a guillotine. I used a large square embedder to emboss a frame on the front of a 7×7 card blank, glued the topper into palce and finished with one of the KISS word stickers.

So do join Barbara on Clarity’s YouTube channel at 3pm this afternoon (or on catch up later if, like me, you’re going to be out!) for more inspiration with these brilliant dies.
