three little birds

Hello friends! We’ve been enjoying the sunshine here today – it’s been beautifully warm and the birds have been singing away! I thought it appropriate to bring you another of my samples for the new Timestamp Creations collection produced by Clarity Crafts for Janice Phillips from her fabulou photography, featuring two of the images from the ‘snapshots’ set. These are actually mirror images of 6 of the small stamps from the first set Janice released – more on that another day!

For now, I’ve paired up a couple of the little snapshot stamps using the colours from Color Dare (this paper has a lovely soft blue blended with the yellow) and the ‘wings’ theme from Make My Monday

I started with the Waimea Falls designer paper and cut it down using one of the film strip nested square doodle frame-it panel dies. I ran low tack tape around the base of the frame so that I could then stamp the pair of gulls and the crow images along the bottom in black Archival ink, joining them together.

That was most of the work then done! I simply added a narrow mount of black card, followed by a larger one of yellow Waimea Falls companion paper and attached the whole piece to a black 5s5 card blank. The final touch was to add the sentiment from the snapshots set.

These little images are just so effective and work together beautifully! This reminds me of my recent week with friends in Skegness on the east coast – there were lots of gulls and crows in evidence around our lodge (I can still hear them now!)
