Hello friends. It’s been a bank (public) holiday here in the UK today for Easter Monday, which I was very grateful for after a busy weekend! I did have a few things to be getting on, but carved out a bit of time at my craft desk for today’s card using the fab magpie Timestamp Creations stamp set by Janice Phillips. I thought it worked as a last minute contribution to the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge with the palette from AAA Colourful (I stayed with the blue tones this time round)

First was to cut a piece of stencil card to fit an A6 card blank and stamp the magpie image onto it using black Archival ink. I extended two of the telegraph wires with a micron pen to reflect the sketch. I then simply used a flat paintbrush and a mix mat to watercolour the three sections with ‘salvaged patina’, ‘stormy sky’ and ‘blueprint sketch’ Distress Oxides.

After leaving the card to fully dry, I added the sentiment from Timestamp’s relax and recharge set, ran a black Sharpie around the edges of the topper and attached it to the 6×6 card blank.

Normal life resumes tomorrow after all the Easter celebrations – do drop by again as I’ll have another card to share with you.
