bunnies for Easter!

Hello crafty friends. I’ve spent a lovely day with a good friend of mine, crafting together – it’s always nice making things with company! I hadn’t yet played with the bunnies aperture stencil from the March Clarity Craft Club, so thought it was time to put that right. It’s a fab little stencil and fits perfectly with the bunnies and moon stamp set, so I didn’t have too many decisions to make about what to pair it with!

I did manage to mix a few challenges together into this card too, obviously starting with the ‘bunny’ theme at Addicted to CAS, adding a dose of stencil for Addicted to Stamps & More, and finishing with a sprinkling of Easter for CAS on Friday!

So, starting with the bunnies aperture stencil, I lined it up on a piece of card that I’d cut to fit on a 6×6 card blank, then brushed ‘speckled egg’ Distress Oxide into the aperture across Clarity’s clouds mask. I stamped the three bunnies that fit the apertures in Espresso Archival, then shaded them in with Pergaliner pencils.

Helpfully, the stamps come with pre-cut masks, so I covered each bunny and stamped in the flowers and grass from the spring build-a-wreath set, so they look like they’re sitting in a meadow.I added Happy Easter from the entwined sentiments set by using the Easter stamp and then masking off Happy from the birthday sentiment with low tack tape before inking it (but don’t forget to remove the tape before stamping!) I then simply edged the topper with a black Sharpie and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

Got to love a bunny (or three) at Easter!
