be unique

Hello friends! It’s a sunny Sunday here, but I’m tucked into my craft room finishing a few things before I head off for a break with friends tomorrow, and getting ready to watch Barbara Gray on Clarity Social TV with some more new goodies! As well as the fun characters & layouts I shared yesterday, we’ve got some new quote stamps coming too and I kept it simple on this card using the stag stencil and one of the new sentiments.

I had a bit of fun with this one, dripping a few drops of Distress Reinkers into shaving foam that I’d spread on a plate, stirring it together and then dragging the foam through the stencil, which was attached to Clarity’s 7×7 stencil card (I made a few images at this session – it’s not worth doing it for just one card!) I then used a nested square die to cut the card down and added the sentiment in Versafine Clair black ink. I find it easier to use a die for this, as you can line it up over the section of the image you want, rather than trying to cut each side down with a paper trimmer.

I then simply added a mount of Antarctica companion paper and attached the whole piece to a 7×7 card blank.

This is such a fun technique, but does still keep my ‘clean & simple’ heart happy! I hope you can join Barbara on YouTube at 3pm to see more of these fab stamps. I’m popping over to share this card with a couple of challenges – Stencil Fun have got an optional twist of patterns and Word Power as always want the sentiment to be a focal point.

  1. My eyes opened really wide when I looked at this one. It is so different and I never would have thought of pulling shaving foam inks through the stencil although I have made backgrounds using it. A wonderful card Deb.
