Twas the night bauble

Welcome to this week’s Christmas card, this time featuring one of the stamps from Clarity Craftstwas the night sampler‘ A4 set, which has miniatures of the individual stamps Barbara drew to illustrate the Clement Clark Moore poem. I’ve taken the layout for this one from the sketch at The Paper Players, together with the Christmas theme from Addicted to Stamps & More.

Starting with one of Clarity’s small squares of stencil card, I stamped the frame and the bauble using black Archival ink. I then set about colouring the image with my trusty Pergaliner pencils, highlighting parts of the bauble and the frame with a gold metallic gel pen.

I added snow to the little scene with a fine white Posca pen, then attached the topper to a black 5×5 card blank, finishing with a couple of strips of gold card to reflect the sketch.

It’s a busy old week, and we’re only at Wednesday! I’ll be on Clarity Social TV at 10am & 2pm on Friday (28th) – I’ve been busy prepping my demos today, but will have more to share about that tomorrow.

  1. What a pretty little bauble Deborah! Great stamp set too – that poem is a Christmas favourite for sure. Love the gold banners to border the panel and lift it from the background too. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing with us over at The Paper Players this week!

  3. I really like the way you’e reworked the sketch for a square format. The wide border works well. That pop of gold ramps up the festive factor too. Thanks for sharing with us at The Paper Players. 🙂

  5. So pretty. I love that you added gold pen to the frame to make it more “regal” and that you continued the gold by adding the two strips. The scene inside the bauble is so “Christmas”. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to Stamps and More!
