It’s a boy

Hello friends. I need to make some more new baby cards for boys (I think some of my friends have bought my stock for my new grandson!), so turned to Clarity Crafts‘ ‘adorable baby‘ stamp set inspired by a few current challenges. The layout is from Freshly Made Sketches, the colours from AAA Cards and I picked up the die cut hearts theme from Just Us Girls.

I started with one of Clarity’s small squares of stencil card and stamped the baby clothes & sentiment onto it in black Archival ink. I brushed ‘tumbled glass’ Distress Oxide across the coulds mask into the sky, then coloured in the clothes with ‘bundled sage’ and ‘stormy sky’ – I squidged a little of the ink onto a mix mat, then picked it up with a waterbrush to add to the images.

I used one of the ‘hearts’ nested doodle frame-it panel dies to cut a mount for the topper. I embossed a frame onto the card front with a nested square embedder and sat the topper within it.

Clarity have launched their half-price members’ sale today – if you’re a member of any of their Craft Clubs, then you can get hold of most of the products they produce (excluding recent releases) at a 50% discount. It’s such a great perk and I’ve got my shopping list ready!

  1. What a sweet card! I love the clouds in the background and the pretty heart frame with that cute image. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
