always look up

Hello everyone! I’ve got the first look at some brand new stamps that will be on Clarity Social TV tomorrow (Friday) at 10am & 2pm. There’s a bit of a different twist with these, though, as Clarity have produced them for Janice Phillips (who was a presenter on Create & Craft TV before it’s demise) – it’s Janice’s first collection for her new company Timestamp Creations based on her wonderful photographs, which the fantastic Clarity team have turned into an amazing series of stamps & postcards. This first card uses the ‘always look up’ set, which features a fab silhouette of the bird perched on a rock. I’ve used various shades of purple on this one, so will be sharing it with Color Dare.

I had a few mop-up pieces in my stash done with ‘shaded lilac’ and ‘dusty concord’ Distress Oxides on Clarity’s 3.5inch square stencil card, so decided to opt for one of those.

I stamped the bird and rock image onto the card using black Versafine Clair ink – I just love the detailing on the rock and building; you can really feel the texture. I added one of Clarity’s moon masks and brushed the ‘dusty concord’ outwards from it to make the moon appear lighter, then stamped the sentiment into place.

I cut the mount from black card with the ‘film strip’ nested doodle frame-it panel die and backed it with a piece of light purple Amazonia companion paper that toned with the background. I then simply attached it onto a 6×6 card blank, to sit within the frame that I’d embossed with a square embedder.

So don’t miss Barbara & Janice on YouTube tomorrow at 10am & 2pm showing you more of this fab collection and the inspirational creations from my Clarity design team-mates – I’m so looking forward to it!
