grunge elements thanks

Hello everyone. Just a quick card to share with you today, inspired by Barbara on Monday afternoon’s Clarity Social TV when she was playing with their ‘happy – grunge elements‘ stamp set. As it happens, this was the only set from the collection that I had in my stash – however don’t panic as the rest are now on their way to me! (They’re currently at a bargain price that was too good to miss!)

The elements in this set (and all the others) are fantastic for mixed media work, but you will not have been surprised to see that I kept it clean and simple, just using two of the stamps! I started with a 4×4 card blank and first embossed a frame onto it with a small square embedder with the rounded corners. I then took the circle stamp (top left in the set) and stamped it three times with ‘broken china’ Distress Oxide

I added the sentiment from the ‘thank you – occasions‘ set in black Archival ink together with the little trio of swirls and decided it was done at that.

I’ve actually made 10 of these little notecards – my son & his partner want them to send to everyone who’s been so generous with gifts following Xander’s arrival.

  1. I love the clean and simple look. Trying to talk myself into buying this full set but the more I see of cards created it the more I think I might bite the bullet. Torn between these and your other demo from a few days ago. Could be an expensive month. Love your mini makes.
