Hello again and welcome to our new challenge at As You See It, kicking off our 2025 schedule with a fabulous swatch of colours from Heather! I’m still playing with the new seasonal ‘build a wreath’ stamps from ClarityCrafts (you may have noticed!) – this design is inspired by a demo Barbara Gray did on Clarity Social TV on Sunday (you can check out the show here). I’ve used the ‘autumn’ set again (the same as for this morning’s card), which just shows how very versatile they are. I’m going to share this with a couple of other challenges as well – Triple B for the ‘blooms’ in my design and Simply Clean & Simple who’ve got an optional twist of ‘new’ (although these stamps have seen a bit of action now over this week!), plus Word Power for the lovely poem I’ve used.

So, here’s the lowdown on what I did. I started with a 5×5 card blank and used a square embedder to emboss a frame onto the front. I ran low tack tape down the left hand side of the card and along the bottom edge to give me a masked line to stamp against. I then used a couple of the leafy stamps and ‘shadow grey’ Archival ink to fill in a line along the tape, adding in the little triple leaf in ‘watering can’. Next was to fill in along the border with two of the small flowers, using ‘picked raspberry’ and ‘carved pumpkin’ Distress Oxides.

Removing the low tack tape left me with a neat edge on the stamped border. I then simply added the verse from ‘the kiss of the sun‘ A6 stamp set, again using the ‘watering can’ Archival.

I love the way you can get such great effects from overstamping these little images. Do come on over to our gallery at AYSI and show us how you’ve put our colours to use.

Wow, Deborah, this was such a well-planned and executed project in these colours. I love the poem, and these tiny blooms framed it perfectly! It was another of just what I had in mind for these colours!
