Hello crafty friends. You may have noticed by now that I do like making Christmas cards with non-traditional colours and I thought the palette at Creative Colour would create a really interesting background for the trees from ClarityCrafts‘ ‘winter cabin reflection’ set with the layout from Atlantic Hearts and the ‘winter’ theme from Four Seasons.

I started with Clarity’s 8×8 stripe stencil on a square of white card and brushed ‘saltwater taffy’ and ‘shaded lilac’ Distress Oxides out from the centre is opposite directions. I stamped the trees with ‘watering can’ Archival ink, adding the small single one into the gap, then sponged a little of the grey ink across a torn piece of copy copy to add shadow below them.

After stamping the sentiment, I added a mount of Indian Summer companion paper and popped it on a 6×6 card blank.

This looks like one of those soft winter evenings to me, although not much sign of that round here with the edge of Storm Darragh still passing over! Take care everyone!
