nutcracker wreath

Hello crafty friends. Here we are at Monday again and I’m back with another take on Clarity Crafts‘ new ‘nutcracker’ stamp set – but this time there’s not a nutcracker in sight! I’ve taken a few of the smaller accent stamps from the set to build a wreath using one of my favourite colour combinations, thanks to the challenge at Cardz4Galz.

Starting with one of Clarity’s small squares of stencil card, I used a circle embedder to emboss a frame onto it. I could then use that to position my stamps as I built the wreath, starting with what loooks a like a pine bough (to me) in ‘peacock feathers’ Distress Oxide. I then added in the little holly stamp with ‘picked raspberry’, finishing with the tiny swirl in ‘peacock feathers’

Lovely & simple – you know that’s my favourite style! I mounted the topper onto a layer of Antarctica companion paper before attaching it to a 5×5 card blank that I’d used a square embedder on for a second frame. The final touch was to stamp the sentiment from ‘Jayne’s bijou postcard framer’ set (again in the ‘peacock feathers’) onto a piece of scrap card that I then trimmed into a banner before gluing it to the card front.

If you didn’t manage to catch Barbara’s brilliant show introducing these stamps yesterday afternoon, it’s still available on Clarity’s YouTube channel. And don’t forget that the Gray Friday sale ends tonight at midnight – grab your bargains before it’s too late!
