fuschia sampler stamp

Hello friends and welcome to Sunday with an early look at some new stamps that ClarityCrafts will be launching tomorrow. It’s another beautiful A4 sampler set of stamps, this time featuring flowers drawn by Jayne Nestorenko and I’ve mounted the fuschia on a piece of BOW-WOB (black-on-white/white-on-black) paper that I’ve added colour to. This little offering also picks up patterned papers & pencils from Just Add Ink‘s ‘choose two’ challenge and the ‘focal one’ (one stamp as the focal point) theme from Seize the Birthday

I started with a piece of the leafy patterned BOW-WOB paper. I spread ‘picked raspberry’ & ‘wilted violet’ Distress Oxides onto my 6×6 gel plate and lightly pressed the paper onto it’ The fab thing about this technique is that the black areas on the paper will resist the ink, which means you can pull a second print from the gel plate onto a piece of stencil card (more of that another day!) I trimmed the paper to size and attached it to a 5×5 card blank. Next was to stamp the small fuschia square onto a piece of card and colour it with my Pergaliner pencils. I cut then cut it out with the third smallest of Clarity’s nested square dies – I find that an easier way to get the image perfectly centred, rather than cutting down on each edge.

It was then a simple matter to pop the topper onto the card front and finish with a KISS word sticker.

Barbara will be on screen on Clarity’s YouTube page tomorrow (18 Nov) at 2pm, showing off these stamps and other goodies. I’m looking forward to seeing what my design team buddies have done with them too!

  1. That patterned paper is the perfect background for your fuschias – I love how you coloured it to match. Thanks for joining us again at Just Add Ink.
