honey bees for Love to Craft challenge

Hello again and welcome to card two for today! This time, it’s for the new challenge at Love to Craft and, always, the theme is ‘anything goes’. I opted to use another of the new ‘Just Silhouette Framer A4 Sampler’ stamps (I love these little bees), together with the honeycomb overlay stamp from the original ‘Just bees & butterflies’ stamp set.

Starting with a square of stencil card I stamped the bees silhouette with ‘vintage photo’ Archival ink. I cut a mask for it and then added the honeycomb outline with the same ink, following up with ‘mustard seed’ Distress Ink on the infill stamp. I used a yellow Pergaliner pencil to shade the bees.

Taking a 6×6 card blank, I stamped the honeycomb four times around the edge of a 6×6 card blank, again using the ‘mustard seed’ to fill it in.

I then simply edged the topper with a brown Sharpie, added the sentiments from ‘just bees & buttterflies in the ‘vintage photo’, popped a scrap piece of card on the reverse of the topper to lift it slightly and attached it to the card front.

And that’s it. The Love to Craft challenge runs for the next six weeks, so there’s plenty of time to come and share you creations with us.
