decorating the tree at Christmas (or not) BINGO

I did warn you that it was a busy day on the blog today, so here I am with a third (and final) card, this time using one of the new ‘Just Christmas silhouette framer’ stamps that were released last week. We’ve got a new grid for you over at Christmas (or not) BINGO and (obviously) I did opt for the Christmas theme this month. The way our grid works is you choose one of the columns (B, I, N, G or O) and incorporate at least three of the elements on your card. I went with column I this time round, picking up all the elements!

My starting point was an inky mop-up bacground from my stash (you know there is a big pile of these!) – I stamped the chidren & tree image into the centre using black Versafine Clair ink and heat embossed it with WOW’s clear sparkle powder. I used the outer part of a moon mask to isolate the image, then sponged a little ‘peeled paint’ and ‘broken china’ Distress Oxides onto the children and tree, picking out baubles with a Quickie glue pen and scattering WOW’s ‘Oh Gosh’ red glitter across them.

Once the glitter had dried (I should probably have done that last!) I covered the image with the moon mask and repeat stamped the sentiment down the side of the card using ‘broken china’ Distress Oxide.

I ran a black Sharpie around the edges of the topper, added a narrow white mount and attached it to a black 6×6 card blank.

This really is a fab little image and all the elements from the BINGO card came together beautifully. Which of the columns inspires you?
