star window stencil

Hello again. I’m back with a card that I didn’t manage to demo on today’s shows using the ‘star window’ stencil from ClarityCrafts 7×7 Christmas Windows set. (You can catch up on the 10am & 2pm shows on Clarity’s YouTube channel here) Now the theme of this card is probabaky about as far away from Halloween as you can get, but I picked up the colours from the moodboard at Just Us Girls

I attached the stencil to a piece of card that I’d cut to fit on a 7×7 card blank and sponged ‘squeezed lemonade’, ‘carved pumpkin’ and ‘hickory smoke’ Distress Oxides through it, working from the centre outwards. I switched to the ‘brick wall’ stencil and lightly brushed more of the ‘hickory smoke’ through it, just sweeping the brush in from the outer edge of the card so it left a soft blend towards the window.

I added two of ‘Barbara’s Christmas Sentiments’ with black Archival ink across the stencilled image, followed by a mount of orange Waimea Falls companion paper and a second one of grey card. The whole topper then went onto a 7×7 card blank.

I love the way you can blend colours through a stencil to give the impression of light shining through! Huge thanks if you managed to join me & Paul for today’s shows.

  1. I enjoyed your demonstrations very much yesterday. Would just to say this is the first time I have seen you on screen and really think you are a natural, well done.
