woodland days

Hello crafty friends. I’ve got a more thoughtful vibe on today’s card using ClarityCrafts ‘just woodland & birds’ stamp set with one of the Quotes stamps. Barbara Gray is running a ‘craftalong’ this evening on Facebook & YouTube using this set and the abstract die that was launched at the same time, so I’m hoping that my work meetings finish in time! I was inspired by one of the cards that Dee Paramour, another of my Clarity teamies, made when this set was originally released. I’ve taken the ‘masculine’ feel from Addicted to CAS, and am also going to share it with Word Power and Simply Clean & Simple, whose optional twist is to use black & purple. Finally, Just Add Ink must have read my mind when I was planning this card – I could choose any two of their three options, as they’re all here!

I took a 5×5 card blank and ran masking tape down the right hand side and along the bottom, just to half it’s width. I popped a mini moon mask in place and then swept ‘dusty concord’ Distress Oxide in from the right hand side with a stencil brush. I lifted the mask, stamped a few trees from the set with black Archival ink, added the little birds and then removed the masking.

I then simply stamped the quote into the centre to finish.

I do love a CAS card ( you may have noticed!)
