Hello crafty friends. I’ve got a card today that I made a little while ago when the ‘Just woodland & birds silhouette’ stamps were launched by ClarityCrafts, teaming up with the ‘olive branch’ stencil. I’m planning to share this with Triple B (it features birds!), Cardz 4 Galz who’ve got a new theme of ‘circles’ and Stencil Fun

I started by attaching the ‘olive branch’ stencil to a piece of card and ran it through my embossing machine to give the leaves a raised effect. Keeping the stencil in place, I sponged ‘peeled paint’ Distress Ink through it onto the leaves

I then inked up the stamp with the ‘peeled paint’, using a sponge to get an even distribution, and added it into the centre of the leafy wreath. I added a little drop shadow to the birds and trees with a grey Polychromo pencil.

All that was then needed was a mount of companion paper and a 7×7 card blank – job done!

The green may not look very autumnal (to be honest, given our current weather it ought to be grey and dripping wet…!) but I’ve spotted a few skeins of geese in the sky starting to head off for the winter. A couple of my friends are keen birdwatchers, so I suspect they’ve been getting outside with their binoculars between the showers!

Beautiful card my friend! Love the combination of the stamp & the stencil! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Triple B & Stencil Fun challenges! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
