Hello friends. I’ve got another of ClarityCrafts‘ Fresh Cut Dies to share with you today, in honour of the Bonanza offer that’s running until midnight on Monday. I love this series of stained glass window dies – just perfect for Christmas cards, so I’m sharing this one with Peace on Earth and Merry Little Christmas challenges.

It’s always good to be reminded of different ways to use dies and this card involves snipping out part of the image, thanks to Paul Church’s inspiration on Friday’s shows. The first step was to cut the window out of a piece fo gold card that I’d backed with Stick It adhesive sheet. I saved the central star pieces and attached the outline image to a square of Antarctica designer card. I then recut the die into an offcut of black card (again with the Stick It on the back) and used scissors to trim it down to leave the central piece. With the adhesive sheet on the back it was easy to then layer it over the gold image,

Having saved the central star sections I was able to piece them back into the outline. I ran a black Sharpie around the edges of the topper and attached it to a 6×6 card blank. The final touch was a Pinky Gray greeting sticker, which I mounted on a piece of black card for added stability and glued to sit across the die cut window.

And that’s all there was to it! Thanks for dropping in – I’ll be back with another creation tomorrow.

Quite a bit of extra work, with that die, but very effective in results. Love it.
