Guest Designer at Time Out – autumn

Hello everyone! I’m delighted to have been invited along as guest designer for the new challenge at Time Out, where we have this fabulous quote from Van Gogh for inspiration. I’ve used the ‘SHAC autumn & winter mandala rings’ stamps from ClarityCrafts to create this little autumnal scene, picking up the moodboard from Hand Stamped Sentiments and the ‘falling leaves’ theme from Double D.

I started by stamping the scene and the circle frame onto a piece of stencil card using black Archival ink. I coloured the image and frame with Pergaliner pencils, then cut it with a nested circle die and added a mount of Toscana companion paper cut with a ‘scallop’ circle doodle frame-it panel die.

I cut a background piece of stencil card using the ‘hearts’ square doodle frame-it panel die and embossed a frame on it with a round embedder, which the topper sat nicely inside. I added another layer of the Toscana paper and attached the whole piece piece to a 6×6 card blank, finishing with the anniversary sentiment.

I sent this card to friends who are celebrating their first anniversary after an autumn wedding last year – I love the little pair of birds sitting in the tree.
