Hello crafty friends. I’m back with another card using the new ‘Linda’s Floral’s’ collection from ClarityCrafts. I’d planned to demo this one using the ‘clematis’ set on yesterday’s shows, but time just ran away with me so here it is now. I’m also going to share it with The Flower Challenge – they’re looking for a stamped flower this time and I’ve got a whole wreath of them here, which also fits the moodboard from Just Us Girls.

This is a great way to use up some of your offcuts of designer paper and I went for a piece of Antarctica. I stamped the single clematis flower 12 times, then added shading with a yellow Pergaliner pencil. The best way to get a deep yellow centre against the designer paper is to first lift the colour with a Faber Castell eraser pencil and then colour over the top. I then fussy cut them and glued around the edge of a circle die cut.

I stamped the sentiment in the centre using ‘peacock feathers’ Distress Oxide, attached the wreath to a square of white card and added a mount of Antarctica companion paper that I’d cut with a ‘hearts’ doodle frame-it panel die. The whole piece then simply went onto a 6×6 card blank.

This would work in lots of different colourways – the great thing about using the designer paper is that you get lots of shades on the flowers that all work together.

Lovely colours and design – I was thinking about practising fussy-cutting – then thought again and decided against it….. 🙂

Thank you! I find it easier than drawing a circle on the card

Beautiful card Deborah and I’m blown away that you started with a piece of DSP to stamp your flowers! I just assumed you stamped the flowers on white card and colored them, until I read your description. Beautifully done and I love the heart framing too! Thanks so much for sharing this lovely card with us at The Flower Challenge! Marcia (DT)
