M for masculine at Alphabet Challenge

Hello friends. We’re on to our next letter at Alphabet Challenge and Billie has opted for M for Masculine. Lots of potential here, but I’ve headed back to the new ‘just wheels & wings silhouette framer’ stamps from ClarityCrafts and the scooter image for my brother-in-law’s birthday card, which is why I’m also going to share it at Seize the Birthday.

I decided to blend a few inks onto the scooter stamp using sponges – ‘salty ocean’, ‘chipped sapphire’ & ‘black soot’ Distress Oxides. I gave it a quick spritz with water before stamping it, which adds a little texture to the background framer.

Obviously, I created a frame with a square embedder, then added a couple of sentiments – ‘happy birthday’ from the original ‘just wheels & wings’ set and ‘live this life’ from ‘just woodland & birds’.

Now I was going to stop there, but felt it needed a little more. I had cut a mask for the stamp last time I used it, so covered the image over and then added the ground using the latest ‘netting’ stamp from Clarity’s Craft Club and ‘shadow grey’ Archival ink. I added a mount of Toscana companion paper and attached it to a 5×5 card blank.

Do come on over and share your masculine cards with us at Alphabet – there’s lots of scope with this theme!
