Hello crafty friends. Well it’s the weekend again and the sun is shining! There are a few sunflower related challenge themes out there so I’ve combined Double D, Triple B and Inspired by into today’s card using the ‘make art not war sunflower’ stamp set from ClarityCrafts.

I started with a small square of stencil card that I’d cleaned my brayer onto when I was making the blended birthday card last month. I stamped the larger sunflower onto it using black Archival ink and coloured it with my Pergaliner pencils.

I popped a little bee (from ‘just butterflies & bees’) into place, heading for the sunflower, shading it with the pencils as well then added one of the supplementary phrases from the ‘bijou ribbon sentiments’ set. I used a square embedder for a frame on the front of a 5×5 card blank (am I getting a bit predictable with these? I just love them!), then edged the topper with a black Sharpie and attached it.

We have a monthly ATC (artist’s trading card) swap over on Clarity’s Facebook group – this month’s theme was ‘make art not war’, so it was obvious which set I was going to choose! Here’s the ATC I sent to my swap partner along with this card.

Sunflowers are also a symbol for Ukraine – Clarity very generously donate 50% of the proceeds from the sale of these stamps to the Red Cross to suppport their work in Ukraine.

Delightful! The sunflower and bee are colored beautifully. Great that you had a background ready to use. Square cards are my favorite also. Great ATC card. Thanks for sharing at the Double D, “Sunflower” Challenge.

What a great use of the stamp – and the background being a ‘waste’ product – fab. xx
