Forever my friend

Hello again! I’m back with a second post today featuring another of the new sets from ClarityCrafts, this time the ‘just flowers silhouette framer’ stamps. I thought this image was ideally suited for the colour palette at The Flower Challenge

I started with the rectangle silhouette image (not sure what these flowers are!), sponge ‘peeled paint’, ‘saltwater taffy’ and ‘dried marigold’ Distress Oxides onto it, making sure that the ‘peeled paint’ was also on the flower heads to bring them out. I spritzed the stamp with water and stamped the image onto white stencil card. I shaded the flowers with pink and peach Pergaliner pencils, then cut the card with a nested picot die. I also cut a mount of Waimea Falls companion paper using the next size die up.

I added the sentiment onto the topper using the ‘peeled paint’ and attached it to a 7×7 card blank. I then turned to the original ‘just flowers’ stamp set and found the matching floral spray, which I stamped around the corners of the topper to frame it, again in ‘peeled paint’. I used the same Pergaliner pencils to shade in the flowers, adding a touch of green to the leaves.

This is such a contrast to the car on yesterday’s card – these stamps are much more versatile than they seem at first glance. I’ll be back tomorrow with another option using some more of the collection!

  1. Deborah, these pretty blooms look like magnolias to me – but it doesn’t matter one bit as ANY bloom would be as sweet in those colors you’ve chosen from our challenge! Thanks so much for joining us again at The Flower Challenge!
