bijou linocut teasels

Hello crafty friends and welcome to what will be my last post for a while – this little blog and I are taking a bit of a break for a few weeks. I thought I’d go out in style with another card using the new ‘bijou linocut’ stamps from ClarityCrafts, this time with the ‘teasels’ set. I’m going to share it with AAA cards for their sketch and Seize the Birthday as an ‘anything goes’ contribution.

As so often, I started with one of the small squares of stencil card and stamped the teasel outline twice, with a flower outline in the centre. I then used the overlay stamps to add the colour – ‘ripe persimmom’ Distress Oxide for the flower and ‘dried marigold’ for the teasels, also adding a few of the ‘chatter lines’ in ‘watering can’ Archival.

I lightly brushed ‘tumbled glass’ across the clouds mask and added one of the ‘bijou retro sentiments’ before mounting the topper on a layer of Amazonia companion paper. I added a piece of BOW-WOB (black-on-white/white-on-black) collage paper to a 6×6 card blank and then popped the topper in the centre.

So that’s it for now! Take care everyone – see you in a few weeks!
