floral square

Hello everyone! Well the sun is shining away here so I thought we should crack out some more flowers on today’s card, with another of the stamps from ClarityCrafts‘ new A4 sampler set, which fits nicely with the new ‘garden’ theme from Just Us Girls and ‘anything goes’ for Seize the Birthday

I started with a small square offcut of Indian Summer designer paper and heat embossed the floral square onto it, using WOW’s superfine white powder. I obviously didn’t rub it will enough with my little anti-static pad as you can see there are sprinkles of the powder around the image, but I actually quite like the effect for once!

I decided the paper and the image didn’t need any more adding to them, so simply popped a narrow white mount under the square and aded another layer of the Indian Summer paper. It then sat neatly on the front of a 5×5 card blank within a frame I’d made with a square embedder. The final touch was to add the sentiment from the ‘Just butterflies & bees’ stamp set in ‘villainous potion’ Distress Oxide.
