dreamcatcher

hello again. I’m back with the last of my design team samples using the new ‘bijou dangles’ stamps from ClarityCrafts – this time it’s the ‘dream’ set, which I’ve paired with the leafy strip stencil, inspired by one of Eileen Godwin’s designs (she is the stencil queen!)

I started with half a 5×5 card blank, attached it to the back of the stencil and brushed ‘picked raspberry’ & ‘broken china’ Distress Oxides through it. One thing to be careful of when using this stencil is that the centres of the leaves are only attached at one end, so it’s best to brush in from the outer edge, which reduces the chance of them moving and blurring the image (unless that’s the effect you want!) I stamped the dreamcatcher from the set in ‘bluebird’ Archival , adding ‘dream’ and one of the small dangles in ‘watering can’ (grey).

I simply shaded ‘dream’ with a pink Pergaliner, but on reflection wish I’d used blue now! To keep the overall look CAS, I just edged the topper with a grey Sharpie and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

I’m going to share this with a couple of challenges – the colours are from Color Throwdown and I’ve taken a slightly loose interpretation of the Atlantic Hearts layout
