a wee wedding

Hello again! I hope you’re not getting bored with the new ‘bijou dangles’ stamps from ClarityCrafts as I’ve still got more to show you! Today’s card pairs the wedding dangles with one of the ‘wee folk wedding’ stamps, picking up on the CAS wedding theme from AAA cards.

The first step was to heat emboss the dangles word onto white card, using WOW’s superfine gold metallic powder. The thing to remember about heat embossing is that it warps your card, so it’s best to leave it at least an hour (or overnight if you can) for the fibres to relax back – I tend to put my card under a heavy box to help the process of flattening it). I could then add the wedding couple and one of the sentiments from the dangles set in ‘cobalt’ Archival ink.

A frame of hearts completed the card – I cut it with one of the square nested doodle hearts frame-it panel dies from Amazonia companion paper, then attached the opper to a 6×6 card blank.

The good thing about this style of card is that you can do it in the colours to match a wedding’s theme. Interestingly, I checked online before making this (I’m always curious about things) to see what the most popular wedding colours currently are and it turns out that navy is one of the top ones!

    1. Navy is a very classy silhouette colour, I really love this design. Thanks so much for playing along with the optional twist at AAA Cards this week.
