heart of love

Hello there! I’m back again with a second post ahead of tonight’s Moment of Clarity with Barbara Gray over on the Clarity Worldwide Facebook page. These ‘loving heart’ stamps are just so pretty and once again I’ve let them speak for themselves in my favourite CAS style.

So for this one I started with an inky mop-up background on a small square of stencil card that’s been sat in my stash for ages (I can’t bear to waste ink, so always mop it up from my craft mat with a piece of card – I’ve got a large folder full of them!) I simply stamped the clear heart and the single flower into the centre of the card, then coloured in the images with Pergaliner pencils.

I used the alphabet letters in the set to stamp ‘love’ either side of the base of the heart, then edged the topper with a black Sharpie. I used a square embedder for a the frame on a 5×5 card blank and attached the topper within it.

Simples, as the meerkat says! So join us at 7pm tonight as Barbara works some more magic with this set. Before then, though, I’m off to share this with a couple of challenges – I’ve picked up the flowers & leaves from Just Add Ink and it definitely fits Addicted to Stamps‘ ‘make your mark’ theme with the inks and pencil colouring.

  1. This is so pretty Deborah! The way you’ve used the letters, either side of the heart almost appears to be the original layout for the stamp, it’s so fabulous! Also love the simple colouring you’ve give to the edging details. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week.
