Welcome to my crafty blog and another card using the new Japanese floral two-way overlay stamps from ClarityCrafts, this time just using the small frame from one of the panel sets. The tones pick up on the new challenge at AAA Colourful and the ‘weather’ theme at Simply Clean & Simple (you know I love a CAS card!)

I started with a small square of stencil card and stamped the outline frame and sentiment with black Archival ink, then sponged ‘squeezed lemonade’ Distress Oxide onto the infill stamp to colour it in.

I then masked around the frame with low tack tape to leave the centre free to add my little picture. I used the outer part of a mini moon mask and a little ‘squeezed lemonade’ on a sponge to create the sun, then went for the Tuscany trees from the ‘build-a-scene’ mask set and lightly sponged ‘mowed lawn’ onto them. Finally I used the clouds masks from the same set and brushed a little ‘tumbled glass’ across it for the sky.

I added a layer of Indian Summer companion paper and popped the whole topper on a 5×5 card blank.

These little frames are perfect for making notecards – and this is a simple sentiment for a simple design!
