Welcome to my crafty blog and another of the floral sprays stamps from ClarityCrafts, this time the ‘ginkgo leaves’. It’s another beautifully detailed image with infill stamps, although this time I went with watercolouring the image.

But first, I took half a 5×5 card blank (my new favourite way to make my toppers) and created a frame on it with a square embedder. I then used the inner edge of a slightly larger nested embedder to create a reversed embossed edge around the first one, which gave me a raised frame. Having done that, I stamped the ginkgo spray and the little symbol with clear ink and heat embossed it with WOW’s superfine gold metallic powder.

I coloured the leaves with ‘rustic wilderness’ and ‘mowed lawn’ Distress Oxides, using a waterbrush. I added some light stencilling in the background with the lattice stencil and ‘speckled egg’ Distress Oxide. Here’s a closer view so you can see the lovely shine on the gold embossing.

I do think this image would work for so many different occasions – lots of potential!
