Welcome to another look at the new Japanese geisha stamp set from ClarityCrafts and a contrast in style to yesterday’s card, thanks to one of the Infusions papers. I must admit, I intially thought the waterhouse was a teahouse, so was going to make witty comments about the suitability of the designer paper, but never mind!

I cut a piece of the Infusions paper to fit on a 7×7 card blank and stamped the waterhouse onto it. After covering it with a mask, I added the bamboo to sit behind it, stamping the outline in black Archival ink, then the infill stamp which I’d sponged ‘walnut stain’ Distress Oxide onto, shading the leaves with an olive green Pergaliner pencil. I also sponged a little ‘peacock feathers’ and ‘walnut stain’ below the house to ground it.

I used brown Pergliners to add shading to the house, then stamped the two small geishas and the sentiment with black Archival ink. I used a large square embedder to create a frame on the front of a 7×7 kraft card blank, mounted the Infusion paper onto a layer of black card and attached it to the card front.

What do you think? It always fascinates me how you can completely change the style of card by just varying the colours!

I just love that infusion paper behind the focal images. It works so well and the entire design is fantastic. You really do great cards.
