Paris at night

Hello there. I’m back with another of my demo’s from last Saturday’s TV shows, this time using the Paris skyscape aperture die from ClarityCrafts, which works beautifully for the layout at Atlantic Hearts (I swapped the heart for a circle die and rotated the sketch to put the sentiment at the top).

Starting with an offcut of black card, I cut the die into it, then trimmed it off at the sides and snipped the word out. I took a 5×5 card blank, masked the edges off with low tack tape and brushed ‘picked raspberry’, ‘blueprint sketch’ & ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxides into the centre.

I cut a piece of stencil card slightly smaller than the card blank and used a nested circle die to cut the centre out. I then glued the die cut to the back of the topper and then attached it to the card front. The final touch was to glue the die cut word across the front.

I do love Paris! My sons & I had a fabulous trip there a couple of years ago for my big birthday and I even managed to climb the stairs to the second stage! Not bad considering how terrible I am with heights – the boys were acting as my ‘carers’ and we even managed to grab a photo once up there (although you can’t see how tightly I am hanging on to them!!) The best bit, though, was the Tower’s light show at night – just fabulous!
