wild privet

Welcome to my crafty blog at the start of another week! Today’s card uses another of the Botanicals 2-way overlay stamp sets from ClarityCrafts – this time the ‘casablanca lilies & wild privet’, using the colours from ColorDare

I took a bit of a different approach to this one, sponging ‘wilted violet’, ‘stormy sky’ & ‘bundled sage’ Distress Oxides randomly onto the ‘wild privet’ stamp 2. I spritzed it with water and stamped onto a small square of stencil card, then cut the ‘nested square scallop doodle aperture frame-it’ die into the card to frame the stamped image.

I used a square embedder to create a frame on the front of a 6×6 card blank, then mounted the stencil card onto a co-ordinating layer of Waimea Falls companion paper and attached it to the card. I finished with one of the additional phrases from the ‘occasions – happy birthday’ stamp set in ‘wilted violet’.

These two-way overlay stamps are really fab (although I know I’ve only been using simgle images for the last couple of days!) I will be returning with some more of my DT samples for you, using both stamps!

  1. I just love how the colors came together so beautifully on the image panel. Very pretty! And what a wonderful design using the doodle aperture die. I love that die!! Thank you for sharing with us at Color Dare.
