funky flower die

Hello there and welcome to March! I’ve got a busy day on the blog today, with a couple more offerings yet to come, so here’s my first creation for our new challenge at Love to Craft, which as always is ‘anything goes’. Well, I’ve got more new goodies from ClarityCrafts to introduce you to! Barbara will be on TV tomorrow (Saturday) with these ‘funky flower’ dies and fab packs of adhesive felt. There’s lots of potential with these, but I’ve played it safe on a card to start with!

I started with the ‘pattern overlay’ die, cut into a square of kraft card and attached it to the front of a 6×6 kraft card blank (I put a layer of thin double sided adhesive sheet on the back of the square before diecutting it, which made it much easier to attach). I cut a few flowers from the purple, lilac & beige felt (they went through my die cutting machine very easily) and layered them up so I had one large and two smaller ones. They’re easy to attach, just remove the backing paper, and I grouped them around the bottom corner of the kraft die cut.

I stamped the sentiment from the KISS ‘just for your flowers’ set onto a strip of cream card using ‘villainous potion’ Distress Oxide, cut the end into a banner and attached it to the card front, finishing with a Glossies enamel dot in the centre of each flower.

Don’t go away – I’ve got more loveliness to share with you soon!
