Welcome to my little blog and a masculine card using the ‘Gents A5’ stamp set that ClarityCrafts released last month. I’ve taken a bit of a loose interpretation of the layout at Global Design Project for this one.

I started by stamping the sailing ship, the sentiment and two seagulls in black Archival ink onto a piece of stencil card. I ran a piece of low tack tape across the sentiment & gulls, then brushed ‘pumice stone’ Distress Oxide through the ‘stone wall’ stencil to create the quayside.

Having cut a mask for the ship, I brushed ‘tumbled glass’ across the clouds mask for the sky, then added ‘broken china’ for the water. I coloured the images with a mixture of Polychromo and Pergaliner pencils.

A large square embedder gave me the frame on a 7×7 card blank, and I added the topper mounted on a layer of Rainbow River companion paper. The final touch was to draw a few birds above the ship with a micron pen.

I do love the variety of stamps in this set – there’s something for all tastes!
